NTT Docomo and Fukuoka City have joined Astar. This was the most important month in our journey to build the next generation of blockchain. Mid-October we signed an agreement with Fukuoka City, a special strategic zone of Japan with a population of over 1.5 million. Shortly after Sendai City (with another 1 million people) joined the team, too. We will work closely with these governments to expand the global reach of Japanese entrepreneurs through Web3.
Institutional eyes have also turned to Astar Network. Last week, we announced our most important partnership yet with NTT Docomo - the largest internet provider in Japan, serving 37% of the population and generating $40 billion in annual revenue. NTT Docomo and Astar will begin using Web3 technology to solve major social issues in extraordinary ways (details in links below). As a result, we now have many new institutions itching to join our Web3 movement. 2023 will be an exciting year for you and the entire community!

"Multichain is the future... As corporations, investors, and governments adopt the power of blockchain, the market will grow faster than you can imagine. We have the tools for any team or network to build and grow with us," Sota Watanabe (CEO of Astar Network).
ShidenDAO has voted to delist Stake Technologies (Astar Foundation) from Shiden dApp staking to increase financial support for WASM blockchain developers.
